Created in the 1970s, these clip back hoop earrings with by Van Cleef & Arpels Paris are composed of coral, diamonds and 18K gold. The front of each slightly tapering hoop is formed of reeded coral and gold wirework accents centering a navette motif set with four round brilliant-cut diamonds, the reverse of articulated conforming reeded gold sections.With their dynamic composition of intersecting lines, ridges and contrasting textures, this beloved Van Cleef & Arpels design re-invented the hoop earring for the 1970s.
