Created in the Belle Époque, circa 1900-1915, this Ceylon no-heat sapphire ring is set in a platinum and diamond mount. This unusually fine and delicate jewel is horizontally-set with an old cushion-cut sapphire weighing approximately 21.77 carats, the prongs and openwork gallery's scroll, chevron, and stylized lotus motifs set throughout with old mine and rose-cut diamond, with millegrain accents. Highly refined and set with a gorgeous gem, this ultimate cocktail and specimen ring looks forward to the Art Deco period in its design, while exhibiting all the most refined lost platinum arts of the Belle Époque.
