Composed of diamonds, peridots and 18K gold, this Jean Schlumberger "Flowers & Stars" bracelet was made by Tiffany & Co. in the period of the 1960s-1970s. The wide latticework strap is highlighted by flexibly-set circular-cut peridot stars and flowers, interspersed with flexibly-set diamond florets. Dating from the artist's earlier production window, before copyrighting, this "Flowers and Stars" bracelet is a Schlumberger classic, an enduringly popular design fusing inspiration from his beloved world of flowers together with celestial motifs.

Jean Schlumberger was selected to design for Tiffany & Co. in 1956, during the firm's total revitalization and restructuring under Walter Hoving, the new president, and Van Day Truex, the design director who reoriented the firm back toward the natural world, stating "Nature is still the best designer." Schlumberger, who had worked for Elsa Schiaparelli, the surrealist Parisian/Italian couturier, drew freely from nature, but also infused his designs with a unique flair defined by fantasy and vibrant colored stones and enamels.
